Terms of Service

RowCoach is operated by CMC Factory LLC. These terms govern your access to and use of the RowCoach website, browser-based rowing form coach, paid subscriptions, and support resources. By using RowCoach or purchasing a subscription, you agree to these terms.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use RowCoach. If you use RowCoach on behalf of a team, business, school, or organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these terms for that organization.

Coaching Aid Only

RowCoach is not medical advice, physical therapy, or a substitute for a qualified rowing coach. RowCoach provides automated technique feedback that can be incomplete or inaccurate. Stop exercising if you feel pain, dizziness, or unsafe discomfort, and consult a qualified professional before beginning or changing an exercise program.

Subscriptions

Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe. Subscription pricing is $24.99 per month or $249.90 per year unless otherwise shown at checkout. Prices are listed in U.S. dollars and may be subject to applicable taxes. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled.

The normal $249.90 annual price includes two months free compared with twelve $24.99 monthly payments totaling $299.88. A limited annual launch promotion gives eligible first-time annual customers an additional 30% discount of $74.97, resulting in a $174.93 first annual term plus applicable tax before renewing at the normal $249.90 annual price plus applicable tax. The separate Annual Launch Promotion Terms and the disclosures accepted at checkout govern that offer.

You can manage cancellation, invoices, receipts, and payment methods through the RowCoach billing portal. Cancellations take effect according to the option shown in Stripe at the time you cancel.

Protected Live-Coaching Time

RowCoach Pro includes up to 40 hours (144,000 seconds) of authorized protected live-coaching connection time per account in each UTC calendar month. Connected time begins after the protected service authorizes a session and includes setup, warm-up, active rowing, reacquisition, tracking pauses, and user pauses while that connection remains open. Unused included time does not roll over. RowCoach warns at 30 hours of included use and pauses protected live coaching when included and banked time are exhausted.

Active RowCoach Pro subscribers may repeatedly purchase 20 banked hours for $19.99 plus applicable tax. Packs are one-time purchases and do not auto-renew. Each pack does not expire, requires active RowCoach Pro to use, and is consumed after included time in oldest-purchase-first order.

Refunds

Your first RowCoach Pro purchase is eligible for a full refund if requested within 7 days of purchase. This satisfaction refund is limited to one approved refund per customer and payment method. A purchase that cannot be verified automatically requires manual review by RowCoach Support. The annual launch promotional purchase is excluded from this satisfaction refund as disclosed before purchase and in the Promotion Terms, except where required by law. Renewal charges are non-refundable except where required by law. You may cancel at any time to prevent future renewal. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method and may take 5–10 business days to appear. If you believe you were billed in error, email support@rowcoach.live or call RowCoach support at 314-445-4471 and we will review the request in good faith.

A 20-hour coaching pack is fully refundable within seven days only if none of that pack has been consumed. The refund decision is made for each pack separately. Once any time from a pack has been consumed, that pack is non-refundable except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Acceptable Use

Do not misuse the app, interfere with its operation, use RowCoach where camera use is prohibited, submit unlawful or harmful requests, or use RowCoach in a way that could damage the service or other users.

Limited License

Subject to these terms, RowCoach grants you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the service solely for its intended rowing coaching purpose. You may not sublicense, sell, assign, or otherwise transfer this license. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by CMC Factory LLC and its licensors.

Proprietary Technology

RowCoach and its nonpublic technology, including source code, server-side algorithms, scoring rules, calibration, thresholds, architecture, methods, data structures, and analysis systems, are proprietary to CMC Factory LLC or its licensors. They are protected by intellectual property and other laws and may include confidential information and trade secrets. Access to RowCoach or its coaching results does not grant you ownership of, or any license to, that nonpublic technology except for the limited right to use the service stated above.

Prohibited Uses

Except to the extent a restriction is prohibited by applicable law, you may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, derive, discover, or attempt model extraction of RowCoach's source code, algorithms, scoring logic, rules, calibration, thresholds, architecture, or methods. You may not use synthetic or automated inputs to probe, map, infer, or reproduce the service's nonpublic behavior; scrape, harvest, bulk query, record, or replay service traffic or coaching results; or use RowCoach, its behavior, or its outputs to build, train, benchmark, validate, or improve any competing product, model, or service without prior written permission from CMC Factory LLC.

You also may not copy, modify, distribute, resell, sublicense, or create a derivative service from RowCoach; share access credentials or session tickets; bypass payment, entitlement, rate-limit, admission, or other security controls; use multiple accounts to evade restrictions; or help another person do any of these things.

Security and Confidentiality

If you obtain nonpublic technical information about RowCoach through an error, vulnerability, accidental disclosure, or unauthorized access, you must not use or disclose it and must promptly notify support@rowcoach.live so we can investigate. Nothing in these terms prohibits a good-faith security report or any activity that applicable law does not allow us to restrict.

Enforcement and Remedies

Unauthorized use or disclosure of RowCoach's nonpublic technology may cause irreparable harm for which monetary damages are inadequate. To the extent permitted by law, CMC Factory LLC may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in addition to any other available rights or remedies. The Limited License, Proprietary Technology, Prohibited Uses, Security and Confidentiality, Enforcement and Remedies, Intellectual Property, Disclaimer, Limitation of Liability, and Governing Law sections survive suspension, termination, or expiration of your access or these terms.

Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for your device, internet connection, camera setup, exercise environment, browser permissions, and safe use of RowCoach. Make sure your rowing area is clear and that use of a webcam is appropriate for your setting.

Live Analysis Data

Webcam video and images remain on your device and are not uploaded or stored by RowCoach. While live coaching is active, your browser sends derived pose landmarks and timing over an encrypted connection for ephemeral analysis. RowCoach does not store those pose packets or the analysis service's in-memory session state. Aggregate session summaries may be stored as described in the Privacy Policy so you can review and manage your progress.

Intellectual Property

RowCoach, including its software, interface, copy, branding, and feedback system, is owned by CMC Factory LLC or its licensors. These terms do not transfer ownership of RowCoach to you. You may use RowCoach only as permitted by these terms.

Third-Party Services

RowCoach relies on third-party services such as Stripe for payments and billing, Firebase Hosting for hosting, and browser pose-analysis assets loaded from public hosting providers. Those services may have their own terms and policies.

Limitations

Pose estimates can be affected by camera angle, lighting, clothing, body proportions, and erg setup. RowCoach does not guarantee that all form issues will be detected.

Availability and Changes

We may update, suspend, or discontinue parts of RowCoach at any time. We may also update these terms. If changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice, such as updating the last-updated date on this page.

Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to RowCoach, limit service functionality, or take reasonable protective measures if we reasonably believe you violated these terms, threaten the service or another user, infringed intellectual property, or attempted to extract or misuse nonpublic technology. Termination does not limit rights or remedies that arose before termination.

Disclaimer

RowCoach is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or specific training results.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CMC Factory LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for injuries or losses resulting from unsafe exercise, camera setup, or reliance on automated feedback.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Missouri, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless a different law is required by applicable consumer protection law.
